The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and creative Wedding & Social Event Manager to join our team on a contract basis. This is a full-time role based at our resort in Bandung, West Java, where you will play a crucial role in orchestrating and managing all aspects of weddings, social events, and special occasions hosted at our venue. You will be the driving force behind ensuring each event exceeds client expectations and creates lasting memories for our guests. This position offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients, manage significant budgets, and collaborate with a talented team of professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional event experiences.

What you'll be doing

• Consulting with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and budget for weddings and social events

• Developing comprehensive event proposals and presentations tailored to client needs

• Coordinating all logistical aspects of events, including venue setup, catering, entertainment, décor, and technical requirements

• Managing event timelines and budgets to ensure profitability and client satisfaction

• Liaising with external vendors

• Overseeing event setup and execution to ensure seamless service delivery

• Conducting site inspections and walk through with clients prior to events

• Managing event documentation, contracts, and payment schedules

• Monitoring guest experience during events and addressing any issues that arise

• Post-event follow-up and feedback collection to continuously improve service quality

• Maintaining detailed records of events, client preferences, and outcomes

• Collaborating with resort staff including housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services teams

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of professional experience in event management, preferably specialist in weddings and social events

• Proven track record of successfully managing high-profile and complex events

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage client relationships professionally

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail

• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office applications

• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances

• Knowledge of current event trends, décor styles, and entertainment options

• Fluency in Indonesian and English; additional languages are advantageous

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by event schedules

• Previous experience working in a resort or hospitality environment is highly desirable

• Certification in event management or hospitality is preferred but not essential
