Salary: R23 000 per month
Remote Recruitment is hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk for a UK-based business. You will look after the money coming in: raising invoices, allocating payments, chasing overdue accounts and keeping the ledger clean. This is a full-time, 100% remote role working 09:00-17:00 UK time (11:00-19:00 SAST) from anywhere in South Africa.
Chasing payment is part of the job, so a polite but firm approach with customers matters as much as accuracy with numbers.
Key responsibilities
- Raise and issue customer invoices accurately and on schedule
- Allocate incoming payments and reconcile the sales ledger
- Chase overdue accounts by email and phone, keeping relationships intact
- Investigate and resolve billing queries and disputes
- Produce aged debtor reports for the finance team
- Keep customer account records complete and current
What you will need
- Experience with accounts receivable, credit control or bookkeeping
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
- Confidence with spreadsheets and reconciliations
- Clear written and spoken English for customer contact
- A reliable internet connection, a working laptop and a quiet workspace
- Availability across UK business hours
