About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Perl Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Perl scripting, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in fast-paced environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and scripts using Perl.
• Enhance, debug, and optimize existing Perl codebases.
• Integrate Perl solutions with databases, APIs, and third-party tools.
• Develop automation scripts for process efficiency.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Perl programming and scripting.
• Experience with regular expressions, file handling, and text processing.
• Good knowledge of database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle).
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CGI, mod_perl).
• Exposure to API development/integration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
