About the role
The Assistant Restaurant Manager will assist the Restaurant Manager in managing daily restaurant operations at Chora Mediterranean Restaurant in Ubud. You will supervise the service team, ensure excellent guest experiences, monitor service standards and restaurant presentation, and take responsibility for operations in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in managing daily restaurant operations
- Supervise the service team during daily operations and ensure smooth service
- Ensure all guests receive excellent and professional service
- Monitor service standards, SOPs, cleanliness, and restaurant presentation
- Conduct daily briefing and communicate important information to the team
- Support staff training, coaching, and performance development
- Handle guest requests, complaints, and special requirements professionally
- Coordinate closely with the Kitchen, Bar, Hostess, and other departments
- Monitor reservations, table allocation, VIP guests, and special occasions
- Support upselling of food, beverages, cocktails, and wine
About you
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality operations
- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Assistant Restaurant Manager, or similar position
- Strong leadership and team-management skills
- Good knowledge of restaurant service standards and SOPs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good English communication, both spoken and written
- Strong customer-service and problem-solving skills
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Good knowledge of food, beverage, cocktails, and wine
- Strong attention to detail and professional appearance
