About the role
We are seeking a Microbiology Lab Engineer to join our team at our South Cikarang facility in West Java. This is a contract position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our microbiology laboratory equipment and systems. As a Microbiology Lab Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical support and optimisation of laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and contributing to the delivery of accurate and reliable microbiology testing services.
Key responsibilities
Prepare microbiology related work instruction and inspection standard,
Conduct microbiological and related testing of raw materials, semi - finished products and finished product and clean rooms, or coordinate such testing with external parties,
Review and confirm routine product sterilization report,
Perform validation of newly constructed and upgraded clean rooms,
Review test result issued by external organization and maintain the records,
Approve records for routine clean room monitoring, testing of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products; and monitoring/testing process gasses and process water,
Ensure that products meet microbiological requirement specified in applicable domestic and international standards and regulation,
Provide monthly statistical data on Microbiological control status,
Guide technicians and inspector in performing microbiological testing,
Perform other duties as assigned by managements.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Microbiology,
At least 2 (two) years proven experience working in a microbiology laboratory or clinical laboratory environment, preferably in Medical device manufacture,
Strong knowledge of microbiology laboratory equipment, including incubators, automated identification systems, anaerobic equipment and culture media preparation systems
Proficiency in equipment troubleshooting, calibration and maintenance procedures
Familiarity with laboratory quality assurance standards, ISO certifications and regulatory compliance requirements
Excellent technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with laboratory staff at all levels
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and records
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced laboratory environment
Certification or training in laboratory equipment maintenance is desirable
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an advantage
