About MONKEY

MONKEY Catering Platform is the most trusted name in catering technology. Our enterprise?grade platform is built specifically to help restaurants and multi?unit brands scale their catering business. Last year, we managed more than 2M catering orders, across 6,000 restaurants in the U.S. and Canada, worth more than $1B in catering revenue for our brands. In plain terms: our software helps restaurants drive catering sales, manage complex operational workflows, and grow their business.

We operate with an ownership mindset: low ego, high trust, and shared ownership. We care about the humans behind the numbers, and we win together. This year has already been a breakout year for MONKEY and this role will be a key to continuing that momentum.

Role Overview

The SMB Growth Manager owns new revenue and is the front line of MONKEY’s growth amongst SMB brands. Your goal is simple to state and challenging to do:

Research, prospect and find the right brands. Get in front of decision makers and start real conversations. Show them the value of the MONKEY Catering Platform. Create qualified opportunities that turn into long-term MONKEY customers.

This is an outbound?driven sales role focused on emerging multi?unit restaurant brands with meaningful off?premise catering programs – either running their catering only through marketplace, on alternative catering software, or with pen-and-paper. The majority of your pipeline will be self-sourced, though you may also support the broader Growth team with inbound and marketing-sourced opportunities.

You will have support, but no hand?holding. You are expected to build and run – checking in for guidance, direction, and reporting. We’re looking for individuals with persistence and who thrive on energy, curiosity, and the satisfaction of turning “no” into “tell me more.”

What You’ll Do

1. Research, prospect and find the right brands

· Scrape sources to identify target ICP brands with catering operations through a combination of marketplace data, LinkedIn, industry reports, and more.

  • Prioritize and qualify target brands based on existing off?premise catering operations, known menu items, and other factors
  • Carry an individual quota and actively prospect via calls, email, social, and other tools, modeling best?in?class outreach, discovery, and follow?up.
  • Build and run outbound campaigns - email, LinkedIn, calls, and your own network – and work with marketing automation tools (e.g. AmpleMarket).
  • Respond quickly to inbound and marketing-sourced interest in your segment.

2. Get in front of decision makers and start real conversations

  • Open doors and secure first conversations through persistent, appropriate outbound campaigns with cold calls, email sequences, LinkedIn outreach, and in?person visits where appropriate.
  • Create and refine outbound strategies, talk tracks, objection handling, and vertical?specific messaging for hospitality and catering buyers.
  • Qualify leads based on business needs, decision?making processes, catering operations, menu design, and readiness to adopt MONKEY.
  • Create tailored outreach (one?pagers, emails) that speak to brand?specific needs.

3.Show them the value of the MONKEY Catering Platform and create qualified opportunities that turn into long-term MONKEY customers.

  • Run high?quality discovery to deeply understand each brand’s off?premise catering model, constraints, and growth goals.
  • With the support of the broader Growth team, deliver compelling product demos that connect MONKEY’s platform to real P&L outcomes.
  • Prepare sharp recap documents after calls: what we heard, what we’re proposing, and clear next steps.
  • Where necessary, leverage support from other Growth team members to steward larger deals, hand over leads, or execute more complex technical conversations.
  • Collaborate with Growth team leadership to prepare formal proposals and support negotiation of commercial terms and MSAs

4. Improve how we sell

  • Provide clear, unfiltered feedback on what resonates and what does not in our sales and marketing materials.
  • Participate in problem?solving sessions with growth, marketing, product, and operations to sharpen our story and offers.
  • Feed market intelligence back into the roadmap: competitive moves, gaps you see, patterns across brands.

5. Operate like an owner

  • Use HubSpot to manage your pipeline with discipline: stages, next steps, notes, and activity history.
  • Build and refine your own outbound systems: cadences, lists, templates, and follow?up rhythms.
  • Collaborate with the broader team in a low?ego way: share what is working, ask for help when needed, and celebrate wins together.
  • Represent MONKEY with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a genuine understanding of the restaurant industry.

What You Bring

  • Passion for restaurant technology, catering, and multi-unit operations. Curiosity about how catering programs are built, how they are measured, and where they break. Keenly interested in the dynamics between catering, in?store ops, third?party marketplaces, and first?party ordering.
  • Self?starter with a builder mindset. You do not wait for perfect playbooks. You create them. You are comfortable with ambiguity and motivated by a high?ownership environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. You’re confident on the phone and engaging in person. Clear, concise communicator in writing and conversation.
  • Grit, resilience, and curiosity. You thrive on learning, experimenting, and getting a little better every day. Curious and consultative. You want to understand how a brand really works before prescribing anything.
  • Comfort with CRM tools and outbound engagement platforms. Some experience selling B2B SaaS, ideally to multi?unit restaurant, grocery, or hospitality brands is a nice to have, but not a requirement.
  • Major plus if you have a background in restaurant operations, off-premise, or catering.
  • Major plus if you bring an existing network of decision?makers/influencers at restaurant brands with catering operations.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Category leadership with a fresh start: MONKEY pioneered catering technology and is now fully independent again, doubling down on first?party catering as a growth engine for restaurants and grocery brands.
  • Real impact, real autonomy: You will be one of the key people responsible for writing MONKEY’s next growth chapter. Not just “hitting a quota” but shaping how an entire category thinks about catering technology.
  • A team that actually feels like a team: We work hard, we care about each other, and we keep things human. If you want a place where you are seen, trusted, and pushed to do the best work of your career, you will like it here.
  • Work directly with experienced sales leaders and gain hands?on mentorship.
  • Opportunity for rapid growth into sales, account management, support, or implementation roles as MONKEY scales.

Don't meet every criteria above, but know that you would bring immense value to MONKEY? We'd love to hear from you!
