Landscape Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

Manage and ensure the effective maintenance of all landscape areas within the township to maintain a clean, green, safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment in accordance with township standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage overall landscape maintenance activities across the township, including parks, green areas, streetscape, median, pedestrian areas, and public facilities.

• Develop annual and periodic landscape maintenance plans, including manpower, materials, equipment, and maintenance schedules.

• Supervise pruning, mowing, watering, fertilizing, planting, pest control, tree maintenance, and other landscape activities.

• Conduct routine inspections to ensure landscape quality, cleanliness, safety, and compliance with township standards.

• Monitor and evaluate landscape maintenance vendors and contractors, including work quality, SLA, manpower, and productivity.

• Manage landscape maintenance budget and ensure efficient use of operational resources.

• Coordinate with Township Management, Infrastructure, Estate Management, Security, and other related departments regarding landscape issues and improvement programs.

• Identify and resolve landscape-related issues, including damaged plants, drainage problems, irrigation systems, trees, and hardscape elements.

• Develop improvement and beautification programs to enhance the overall image and environmental quality of the township.

• Ensure proper implementation of safety, environmental, and operational standards in all landscape maintenance activities.

• Lead, supervise, and evaluate the performance of landscape maintenance teams and service providers.

• Prepare periodic reports covering maintenance activities, landscape conditions, costs, issues, and improvement recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Agronomy, Agriculture, or related fields.

• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in landscape maintenance, preferably in township, property development, estate management, or large-scale commercial/residential areas.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory position.

• Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance, horticulture, irrigation, plant care, pruning, pest control, and tree management.

• Experienced in managing landscape maintenance vendors, contractors, manpower, and operational budgets.

• Strong planning, problem-solving, coordination, and team leadership skills.

• Able to conduct field inspections and manage large-scale landscape maintenance operations.

• Good understanding of occupational safety and environmental standards.

• Willing to work in the field and manage operations across a large township area.
