CHIEF SEWING

About the role

Supervise and coordinate all sewing process activities to ensure production runs according to targets. Manage work allocation for sewing operators based on skill, line, and production needs. Ensure the sewing process complies with SOP, quality standards, and production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all sewing process activities to ensure production meets targets

• Allocate work to sewing operators based on skill, line, and production requirements

• Ensure sewing processes comply with SOP, quality standards, and production targets

• Monitor and control stitch quality to ensure products meet established quality standards

• Monitor output, efficiency, reject rates, defects, and downtime in the sewing process

• Identify and resolve production issues as they occur

• Coordinate with PPIC, Quality Control, Cutting, Finishing, and Production departments

• Provide direction, training, and evaluation to sewing operators and leaders

• Ensure effective and efficient use of machinery, materials, and labour

• Maintain discipline, workplace safety, and order in the production area

About you

• Minimum education: SMA/SMK (D3/S1 is an advantage)

• Minimum 2–5 years experience in sewing/garment or equivalent position

• Strong understanding of sewing processes, garment production, and production workflow

• Experience managing and coordinating sewing operators and production lines

• Understanding of stitch quality standards and ability to troubleshoot sewing problems

• Knowledge of production targets, efficiency, productivity, and defect/reject concepts

• Leadership capability and ability to direct team members

• Ability to work to targets in a dynamic production environment

• Strong communication and coordination skills with related departments
