About the Role
Play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of utility facilities at PT Krakatau Posco. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will coordinate maintenance activities, manage critical gas and steam systems, support technical problem-solving, and drive improvements to enhance operational performance.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Minimum 3 years' experience in heavy industries such as Steel Mills, Petrochemicals, or Oil & Gas.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance, piping systems, utility facilities, and equipment integrity.
Knowledge of BFG, COG, LDG, or other industrial gas systems is an advantage.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and piping technical drawings.
Familiar with Ms. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and ERP Systems.
Have certification related to piping engineering and design is point plus.
What you'll be doing
Field Coordination on mechanical maintenance with stakeholders.
Ensuring the suitability of mechanical maintenance activity related to the actual technical drawing.
Ensuring the availability of spare parts and equipment in readiness condition.
Gas Network Management: Serve as the technical engineering authority for hazardous by-product gas networks, including Blast Furnace Gas (BFG), Coke Oven Gas (COG), and Linz-Donawitz Gas (LDG), as well as Natural Gas systems.
Calorie & Quality Tracking by monitor, maintain and optimize Calorie Analyzers.
Steam & Auxiliary Facilities: Oversee the engineering integrity, piping routing and efficiency of Steam distribution networks and their associated auxiliary infrastructure.
Improvement and Investment for utility facilities (COG HP Line, LDG HD, COG BS, COG HD, etc).
Problem solving utility facility through quality, operational monitoring and maintenance support.
