Chinese Translator

About the role

PT Moto Motion Indonesia is seeking a Chinese Translator to join our administrative and office support team. This is a full-time position based in Tangerang, Banten. As a Chinese Translator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between our organisation and Chinese-speaking stakeholders, partners, and clients. You will be responsible for providing accurate and timely translation services that ensure clear understanding and maintain professional relationships across language barriers. This position is integral to our operations, enabling seamless collaboration and supporting our business objectives in an increasingly globalised market.

Key responsibilities

• Translate documents, correspondence, and communications from Chinese to Indonesian and English, and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and cultural appropriateness

• Provide verbal translation and interpretation during meetings, conferences, and business negotiations with Chinese-speaking partners and clients

• Proofread and edit translated materials to maintain quality standards and consistency with company terminology and style guidelines

• Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive business information and documentation

• Prepare and maintain translation records and documentation for reference and quality assurance purposes

• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to clarify terminology, context, and cultural nuances to ensure precise translations

• Support administrative functions by translating emails, reports, presentations, and other business materials as required

• Assist in facilitating effective communication between international teams and stakeholders

What we're looking for

• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, with professional proficiency in Indonesian

• Proven experience as a translator or interpreter, preferably in a business or administrative environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in all working languages

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in translation work

• Knowledge of business terminology and cultural nuances relevant to international commerce

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple translation projects simultaneously

• Professional discretion and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity

• Proficiency with translation software and office applications such as Microsoft Office

• Certification or diploma in translation, languages, or minimum certified HSK 4

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
