About the role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Junior & Senior High School Principal to lead our school community in South Jakarta. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to shape educational excellence and foster a dynamic learning environment. As Principal, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, operational management and overall success of the school, working with a diverse community of students, staff and parents. Key responsibilities

• Providing visionary and strategic leadership to develop and implement the school's educational vision, mission and strategic objectives

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring the highest standards of educational delivery and pastoral care

• Overseeing curriculum development and implementation to ensure alignment with international best practices and local requirements

• Recruiting, developing, mentoring and supporting teaching and non-teaching staff to maintain a high-performing team

• Fostering a positive school culture that promotes academic excellence, personal growth and student wellbeing

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with parents, guardians and the wider community

• Managing school finances, budgets and resources effectively to ensure sustainable operations

• Ensuring compliance with Indonesian education regulations and international school standards and accreditations

• Leading initiatives for continuous school improvement and innovation in teaching and learning

• Representing the school at local, national and international forums and events

What we're looking for

• Master's Degree of Education or other related field, A minimum of 5 years' experience in senior educational leadership roles, preferably as a Principal or Head of School in an international school setting.

• Proven track record of successfully leading schools through strategic change and improvement initiatives

• Strong educational credentials with a relevant degree and recognised qualifications in school leadership or management

• Extensive experience in curriculum development and implementation, ideally with exposure to international curricula such as Cambridge or similar programmes.

• Demonstrated ability to build and manage high-performing teams, with excellent people management and coaching skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders

• Financial acumen and experience in managing school budgets and resources

• Knowledge of Indonesian education regulations and familiarity with the Jakarta international school landscape is advantageous

• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is preferred but not mandatory

• A passion for innovation in education and commitment to student-centred learning

• Willingness to relocate to South Jakarta
