Quality Assurance Manager - Mining, Metals & Minerals

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Assurance Manager to lead and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) for our mining laboratory testing operations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement, and leading accreditation initiatives across the organization.

Our client is a leading TIC (Testing, Inspection & Certification) company specializing in mineral testing services. They are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and strengthen their quality management systems and accreditation initiatives.

Description

• Lead, develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, and ISO/IEC 17020 standards.
• Manage accreditation projects from planning through successful assessment and accreditation approval.
• Act as the primary liaison with accreditation bodies, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
• Develop, review, and maintain quality documentation, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Lead internal audits, corrective actions, preventive actions, and continuous improvement programs.
• Monitor laboratory quality performance and ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.
• Provide quality-related training and guidance to laboratory and operational personnel.
• Drive a culture of quality, compliance, and operational excellence across the organization.

Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within a testing laboratory or testing company.
• Strong hands-on experience with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, and ISO/IEC 17020.
• Proven track record of implementing quality systems and successfully obtaining accreditation.
• Experience leading accreditation projects from preparation through certification/accreditation.
• Strong understanding of laboratory quality standards, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
