Staff Import Specialist (Must Fluent in English)

About the role :
A highly rewarding opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join PT Yongwang Electronics Indonesia as an Import Specialist. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end import process, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of goods to the company's West Jakarta facility. This full-time role is an integral part of the logistics team and offers excellent opportunities for professional development.
What we're looking for :
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an import or logistics role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry (Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Electronics and Home Appliance industries)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to manage complex import procedures
- Proficient in the use of logistics and supply chain management software
- A collaborative team player with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
- Familiarity with Indonesian import regulations and customs clearance processes
What you'll be doing:
- Coordinating all aspects of the import process, from customs clearance to final delivery
- Preparing and submitting all necessary documentation for import, including - invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations
- Liaising with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other third-party providers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods
- Tracking shipments and proactively managing any issues or delays to minimise disruptions
- Maintaining accurate records and providing regular updates on the status of imports
- Identifying opportunities to optimise the import process and implementing process improvements
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies governing the import of goods
