We're looking for a Cold Email Expert to own our cold outreach infrastructure — deliverability, automation, and compliance across any email sending stack.
Responsibilities
- Set up and manage cold email infrastructure (SES, SMTP relays, or dedicated tools like Instantly/Smartlead)
- Monitor deliverability: bounce rates, complaint rates, domain reputation, inbox placement
- Build and run automated cold email workflows and sequences
- Configure SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and domain/inbox warm-up
- Ensure compliance with anti-spam regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR)
- Troubleshoot deliverability issues (blacklisting, spam folder, throttling)
Requirements
- Proven experience running cold email campaigns at scale
- Broad expertise across cold email platforms (not limited to SES)
- Strong grasp of SMTP/IMAP and email authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC)
- Experience with domain/inbox warm-up and rotation at scale
- Familiarity with tools like Instantly, Smartlead, Lemlist, or Apollo
Nice to Have
- Basic scripting/automation (Python, Node.js, Zapier/Make)
- List building and data hygiene experience
