Key Responsibilities
Prepare cost estimates and project budgets.
Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
Analyze project costs and monitor budget utilization.
Prepare tender documents and evaluate contractor/vendor quotations.
Negotiate prices with subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare purchase requisitions and payment certifications.
Monitor project progress and prepare monthly cost reports.
Manage variation orders (VO) and claims.
Review contracts and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
Prepare final accounts upon project completion.
Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, and Finance teams.
Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
Understanding of construction contracts and regulations.
Proficiency in software such as Excel, AutoCAD (basic), CostX, PlanSwift, or other quantity takeoff software.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Attention to detail.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor
Experience in residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contracts.
