Customer Service & Documentation Import (Shipping & Freight Forwarding)

About the role

PT. Tisco Sindo Logistics is seeking a dedicated Customer Service & Documentation Import to join our team in North Jakarta. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our shipping, freight and cargo forwarding operations. As a Customer Service & Documentation Executive, you will be the vital link between our clients and our logistics operations, ensuring seamless communication and accurate documentation throughout the export and import process. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the shipping, freight forwarding industry and directly impacts client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Correspondences with the related overseas agent offices and consignee

• Sending Notice of arrival to customers

• Checking ad replying emails

• Explanations and clarification if any question and special case

• Checking schedule of the vessel arrivals

• Preparing documents for incoming cargoes from Principal system - Genesis

• Checking manifest and ensure to the documents before submission to customs or vessel operator

• Coordinating with the finance team for the charges collection and payment settlement

• Checking the completeness of EDO request and releasing EDO by Qwiik system

• Extend EDO, if any

• Recap import volume and report to weekly basis

• Monitoring the long staying container and update to all the related parties such as POL office, HQ and consignee

• Receiving, checking and processing for refundable of container deposit

• Counter service

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in export and import documentation or shipping, freight forwarding customer service

• Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs regulations and documentation requirements

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously

• Proficiency in relevant software systems and MS Office applications

• Outstanding communication skills in English and Indonesian, both written and verbal

• Detail-oriented approach with high accuracy in documentation and data entry

• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation

• Familiarity with port operations, shipping lines and customs procedures

• Knowledge of HS codes and Intercoms is advantageous

• Relevant certification or diploma in logistics, international trade or business administration is preferred
