QS Manager (Project?

Key Responsibilities

· Manage all quantity surveying activities from project planning to completion.

· Prepare and review project budgets, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ)/RAB .

· Lead the tendering process, including bid evaluation and contract negotiations.

· Review and administer contracts with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.

· Monitor project costs, cash flow, and budget performance.

· Prepare monthly cost reports and financial forecasts.

· Evaluate and manage variation orders, claims, and final accounts.

· Verify subcontractor progress claims and payment certificates.

· Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality.

· Ensure compliance with contract terms, company policies, and relevant regulations.

· Lead, mentor, and develop the QS team.

· Coordinate with Project Managers, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, and other stakeholders.

· Support dispute resolution and commercial risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architect or related field.

• 8–12 years of experience in quantity surveying or commercial management.

• Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial position.

• Strong knowledge of FIDIC or other standard construction contracts.

• Proficient in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and contract administration.

• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QS/ERP software (e.g., CostX, Candy, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).

• Good command of English; Mandarin is an advantage for Chinese-invested companies.
