We are seeking a Managed Service Engineer – Virtualization (Huawei DCS) to support the daily operations of virtualization and backup environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring system health, handling first-level incidents, executing operational procedures, and ensuring service availability in accordance with established SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor virtualization and backup dashboards, including job status, alerts, and storage capacity utilization.
Provide first-level support for incidents and service requests.
Perform basic troubleshooting, including service restarts, log checks, and failed backup job retries.
Conduct ticket triage and escalate unresolved issues to Level 2 support within SLA requirements.
Prepare operational reports, including backup success rates and VM status reports.
Execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) and runbooks for routine operational activities.
Perform basic user access management, including password resets and access provisioning based on approved requests.
Implement minor patches and updates according to maintenance schedules and procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation of operational activities and incidents.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure Support, Managed Services, or a related role (preferred).
Experience monitoring Linux-based systems.
Basic Linux administration skills.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies and environments.
Experience with Huawei DCS (Data Center Solution) is preferred.
Understanding of backup and recovery operations.
Familiarity with incident management and ticketing systems.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Willing to work in a shift-based environment if required.
