ASEA Geo-Expansion Medical Lead

About the role

We are looking for a strategic and science-driven ASEA Geo-Expansion Medical Lead to drive medical strategy across ASEA markets for new product expansion. This role plays a critical part in ensuring scientific excellence, compliance, and unlocking growth through evidence-based innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage medical strategy and objectives for assigned new Geo-expansion brands

• Evaluate and define a portfolio approach for science value creation

• Ensure clear priorities are defined in alignment with Science Affairs vision and priorities

• Promote scientific innovation opportunities through proactive cross-functional contribution that align with brand direction

• Accountable for Zone Geo-expansion medical strategy, claims and HCP strategy for New products planned to be available in the ASEA

• Interact with all appropriate stakeholders to ensure compliance according to Zone Geo expansion and global requirements and Opella policies

• Ensure medical environment and requirements are well understood and considered in New products business strategies

• Provide strategic medical support to the scientific affairs team for Opella business

• Act as the primary contact for medical governance requirements within Opella ASEA

• Provide New products related medical inputs for assigned Opella brands, activities as well as Zone Geo expansion ASEA brands and activities

About you

• Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Medicine (PharmD / MD / PhD preferred)

• 8–10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs / Scientific Affairs (FMCG, Pharma, or Consumer Health)

• Strong experience in: Medical strategy & claims development / Product launch or geo-expansion / HCP engagement & stakeholder management

• Good understanding of: GxP and medical governance AND Regulatory and compliance requirements in ASEA markets

• Proven regional experience across ASEA markets (e.g., managing multi-country scope, working with diverse regulatory environments)

• Proven ability to work in a matrix, cross-functional and regional environment

• Strong communication and stakeholder influencing skills

• Agile, proactive, and innovation-driven mindset
