About the Role

BaliDoc is looking for a commercially minded, technology-oriented General Practitioner to join our growing telehealth team.

Approximately 95% of our patients are international patients, including tourists, expatriates, and foreign residents in Bali. The successful candidate must therefore have excellent English skills and be confident communicating with patients from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds.

The role combines online medical consultations, treatment-plan development, administrative work, healthcare partnership management, and contributions to internal projects supporting BaliDoc’s expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care and Treatment Plans

• Conduct online medical consultations for primarily international patients.
• Assess symptoms, medical history, risks, and treatment needs.
• Provide safe, ethical, and evidence-based medical advice.
• Recommend appropriate medications, diagnostic tests, referrals, follow-up care, or treatment plans.
• Clearly explain treatment options, expected outcomes, risks, costs, and next steps.
• Confidently guide suitable patients toward proceeding with medically appropriate treatment plans.
• Address patient questions, concerns, and hesitation professionally.
• Support treatment continuity, patient retention, and follow-up care.
• Issue prescriptions, referrals, and supporting documentation when legally and clinically appropriate.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient confidentiality.

The doctor is not responsible for handling initial patient enquiries or persuading patients to book a consultation. The commercial responsibility begins during the consultation, where the doctor is expected to identify suitable treatment opportunities and communicate their medical and practical value effectively.

Operations and Administration

• Help develop and improve patient intake, consultation, and treatment workflows, including the BaliPharma customer intake process.
• Complete administrative tasks related to consultations, prescriptions, referrals, treatment plans, follow-ups, and medical records.
• Contribute to clinical protocols, standard operating procedures, quality-control processes, and internal systems.
• Provide medical input for new services, treatment programmes, digital products, automation, and company-expansion projects.
• Use BaliDoc’s digital tools and internal platforms accurately and consistently.

Partnerships and Network Development

• Build and maintain relationships with partner clinics, pharmacies, laboratories, specialists, and other healthcare providers.
• Support coordination and collaboration with existing partners.
• Identify suitable new healthcare partners, referral pathways, and service opportunities in Bali.
• Represent BaliDoc professionally and ensure that all activities meet medical, ethical, and legal standards.

Requirements

• Recognised medical degree.
• Valid medical registration and appropriate SIP.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong communication, consultation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable treating international patients.
• Commercially minded and able to recommend and present paid treatment plans confidently and ethically.
• Comfortable working toward treatment-conversion, patient-retention, and service-growth targets.
• Technology-savvy and able to learn new tools and systems quickly.
• Strong time-management, organisational, and administrative skills.
• Reliable availability during morning and afternoon hours.
• Proactive, adaptable, accountable, and comfortable working independently in a remote team.
• Willing to contribute beyond consultations and support the growth of the company.

Preferred Qualifications

• Based in Bali.
• Good knowledge of Bali’s main areas, tourist destinations, clinics, pharmacies, laboratories, and healthcare facilities.
• Existing connections with clinics, specialists, pharmacies, laboratories, or other healthcare providers in Bali.
• Experience in telemedicine, tourism healthcare, private healthcare, international patient care, medical sales, or treatment-plan conversion.
• Experience developing clinical workflows, treatment programmes, or healthcare partnerships.
