Legal & Compliance Senior Staff

Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Law
• Proven experience working in a Payment Service Provider (PSP), banking, fintech, financial institution, or other regulated financial services industry.
• Hands-on experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, including partnerships with banks, merchants, technology providers, vendors, and other third parties.
• Strong experience in corporate legal matters, including corporate governance, business licensing, amendments to Articles of Association, and coordination with notaries and government authorities.
• Solid understanding of payment system regulations and applicable Bank Indonesia regulations, with the ability to interpret regulatory changes and ensure effective implementation.
• Experience in preparing legal opinions, conducting legal reviews, and identifying and mitigating legal risks related to products, services, and business operations.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and managing legal aspects of audit findings and remediation.
• Experience handling dispute resolution, litigation, arbitration, or other legal proceedings is considered an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Compliance, Risk Management, Operations, Technology, and Business teams to support new products, strategic partnerships, and business initiatives.
• Excellent legal drafting, analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with proficiency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Strong knowledge of regulations related to payment systems, consumer protection, personal data protection, Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CFT), outsourcing, and corporate governance.
• Experience in managing regulatory licensing, reporting, or correspondence with Bank Indonesia or other financial regulators.
• Experience supporting digital payment products, API integrations, cloud technology agreements, or other financial technology initiatives is highly desirable.

Job Description

• Prepare, review, and ensure the validity of company legal documents (contracts, agreements, MOUs, etc.)
• Develop internal company legal policies and ensure their implementation
• Provide legal opinions regarding company operations and decision making
• Provide legal consultation to management and related departments to support the Company's strategic decisions
• Manage relationships with external parties, including notaries, lawyers and government agencies
• Oversee the resolution of legal cases involving the company
• Ensure company compliance with applicable laws and regulations in Indonesia
• Monitor relevant regulatory changes and provide recommendations for adjustments for the company

Specific Skills/Certifications:

PERADI (preferred), PBK SP (preferred), Proficient in OSS, NIB, and corporate licensing processes
