About CLAY

CLAY Bali is a premium restaurant and lounge concept in Ubud inspired by fire, clay, Silk Road culture, warm hospitality, tea, hookah and long evenings around the table.

We are looking for an experienced Hostess to become the first point of contact for our guests and represent CLAY with warmth, confidence and elegance.

At CLAY, the guest experience starts before the table. The Hostess is responsible for creating a polished, welcoming and professional first impression from the moment the guest arrives until the moment they leave.

Main Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally.

• Manage reservations, walk-ins, waiting lists and table availability.

• Esct guests to their tables and introduce the space when appropriate.

• Briefly explain the CLAY concept to first-time guests.

• Coordinate table flow with the Restaurant Manager and service team.

• Support guest arrival, seating and farewell experience.

• Manage WhatsApp and reservation communication when assigned.

• Keep the hostess area clean, organized and fully prepared.

• Handle fully booked situations calmly and politely.

• Support VIP guests, special occasions and specific guest requests.

• Communicate clearly with waiters, managers, security and the parking team.

• Maintain accurate guest notes, reservation details and seating information.

Mandatory Requirements

• Previous experience as a Hostess, Guest Relations Officer, Restaurant Receptionist or Front Office Agent is required.

• Applications without relevant hospitality experience will not be considered.

• Experience in a premium restaurant, hotel, resort, villa or lounge is strongly preferred.

• Good spoken English is required.

• Bahasa Indonesia is required.

• Confident communicating with international guests.

• Professional, well-groomed and polished presentation.

• Calm, friendly and elegant communication style.

• Strong organization, responsibility and attention to detail.

• Able to work evenings, weekends, holidays and busy service hours.

• Must be based in Bali or ready to relocate to Ubud.
