About the role

PT ABISHAR TECHNOLOGIES INDONESIA is seeking a skilled DevOps professional to join our growing team on a contract basis. This is a crucial position within our Information Technology & Communications division, based in Jakarta Selatan, Jakarta Raya. As a DevOps specialist, you will play a vital role in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring our systems run efficiently, securely, and at scale. This position is fundamental to supporting our company's digital infrastructure and enabling our development teams to deliver high-quality solutions rapidly and reliably.

Key responsibilities

1. Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the software release process

2. Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure, including configuration, scaling, and monitoring of servers and services

3. Administer containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to ensure reliable application deployment

4. Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform or Ansible to ensure reproducible and manageable environments

5. Monitor system performance, availability, and security using industry-standard monitoring and logging tools

6. Collaborate with software development teams to understand application requirements and ensure optimal deployment strategies

7. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues with minimal downtime

8. Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organisational policies and industry standards

9. Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures

10. Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery testing to ensure business continuity

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a similar infrastructure operations role

2. Strong proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git, and familiarity with collaborative development workflows

3. Hands-on experience with containerisation technologies, specifically Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes

4. Solid understanding of Linux/Unix system administration and command-line proficiency

5. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or similar services

6. Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation

7. Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent platforms

8. Understanding of networking concepts, DNS, and basic security principles

9. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure

10. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

11. Preferred: experience with Python, Bash scripting, or other programming languages used for automation

12. Preferred: knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, ELK Stack, or Grafana

13. Preferred: familiarity with Agile development methodologies
