Responsibilities:
1. Policy Analysis & Compliance:
Track and interpret relevant laws and regulations to ensure business practices align with compliance requirements, minimizing policy-related risks.
2. Licensing and Regulatory Management:
Oversee the proper registration and management of all licenses, including basic company licenses, import permits and more.
Monitor all licensing documents, ensuring payment, paperwork, and reporting requirements are met promptly.
Estimate and track the progress of all licensing processes; intervene directly to resolve delays as needed, coordinating with internal teams to prevent miscommunication or missing information.
Maintain control over the validity of all licenses, renewing or updating as necessary.
Assess, research, and interpret new government regulations, providing timely advice to management on compliance implications.
Develop and recommend licensing strategies that align with business objectives.
Review new government regulations relevant to the business to anticipate compliance needs.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant external institutions to facilitate smooth licensing processes, especially in cases where regulatory restrictions or missing documents present challenges.
3. Government Relations:
Establish and nurture strong relationships with government agencies and regulatory bodies to enhance the company's influence and reputation.
4. Policy Advocacy:
Support advocacy for favourable public policies, working to secure government backing and resources that benefit the company.
5. Crisis Management:
Manage government-related crises, coordinating communication strategies to mitigate potential negative impacts on the company.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Law, with at least 5 years of relevant experience; not only an expert in regulations but also knowledgeable in how to process licenses.
Familiar with industry policies and skilled in government relationship management.
Able to build and maintain coordination with officers from government bodies at middle to upper levels; capable of handling various types of licenses, processes, and reporting (LKPM, Import Report, TDPSE, KBLI, etc.).
Excellent communication, coordination, and crisis management skills.
Able to communicate in English, with a network of government officers and the ability to maintain good communication with both central and local governments.
Ability to travel and work flexible hours as required.
Familiar with the postal and digital business across all government platforms such as OSS RBA, INSW, and Postel.
Familiar with reports from various government institutions: BKPM, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Manpower, Directorate General of Taxes, Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfodigi), Customs, Ministry of Industry, etc.
Knowledge of import reporting obligations and requirements, including compliance with regulations on import activities and relevant reporting procedures.
