Design Engineer Steel Bridge

Job Description :

In offer/tender phase preparation of:

• Prepare preliminary design for steel and composite structures based on technical specifications, standards and codes.

• Prepare the design documentation for approval if required.

• Prepare technical specification and quantities for purchasing department to obtain offer price.

• Supporting purchasing department in offer evaluation.

• Prepare and guide drafters to prepare general drawing.

• Prepare technical specification, bridge description and other technical documentation for offer.

• Prepare PowerPoint presentation of design for clients if required.
  

In project phase preparation of:

• Prepare detailed design analysis within the bill of quantity frame set up in tender phase according local and international standards.

• Prepare detailed design of welded and bolted connections, and detailed analysis of joint intersections.

• Prepare camber calculation.

• Prepare summary of design results for drafters to guide them in Prepare structural details including connection detail, weld joint detail for drafters.

• Prepare structural details including connection detail, weld joint detail for drafters.

• Prepare summary of design to prepare cutting plan and raw material order.

• Prepare specification and quantities of components for purchasing of components = technical evaluation of offers.

• Manage Lead team of drafters depending on scale of project, distributing work between drafter, controlling their work progress, controlling spent manhours and reporting these to Head of Engineering and Project Manager.

• Prepare and present all required reporting data such as weekly hours, monthly hours, performance report, etc.

Requirements :

Education

• Minimum graduated from University or Academy Technical/ Civil/ Mechanical/ Structure Bachelor Degree (D4).

• Posses a Certificate of National or International Certificate Degree of Technical/ Civil/ Structure/ Mechanical Engineer Certificate.

Experience

• Minimum 2 (two) years experience as Design Engineer at a Design Company, Consultant or Steel Structural Fabricator.

• Have experience of design structural steel (bridge or building) with static and dynamic calculation software minimum 1 (one) years.

• Familiar with design of bridges, towers or other steel structural products

• Understand relevant National and International Standards and Code relating to steel structural design.

• Proficient using Midas software for computer supported design analysis

Language

• Written and spoke with English and Bahasa Indonesia

Computer Literate

• Able to operate static and dynamic calculation software (MIDAS, etc), CAD Software (AutoCAD 2000 or latest version), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), etc
