This role performs fund performance monitoring, reporting and administrative activities and provide support on departmental projects in accordance to company policies and guidelines to ensure that those activities are performed in an accurate and timely manner and support department goal to enhance competitiveness of the BCT pension schemes and investment funds.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring and analyzing the performance of fund managers / funds under MPF, Pooled / individual ORSO and 3rd party schemes
Prepare fund performance monitoring reports / presentations for Investment Committee, management, regulators, clients and internal departments on regular and ad hoc basis
Provide support and contribute ideas to streamline operation workflow and improve efficiency
Assist in managing day-to-day relationship with external asset managers
Assist in managing scheme change projects, e.g. co-ordination of document changes and activities of external asset managers and internal departments
Conduct research on items such as market outlook, investment fund strategy and MPF competitor landscape
Maintenance and testing of changes to fund performance calculation and reporting tools / systems
Take up tasks and projects assigned from time to time
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree holder in Business, Finance, Economics or relevant disciplines
At least 3 years of experience in investment or financial service industry
Good understanding of global investment markets and investment products
Knowledge of the MPF and retirement fund industry would be a plus
Skillful in using MS Office Tools (especially Excel) and knowledge in using Bloomberg/Lipper a plus.
Strong technical and analytical skills and sensitive to figures
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
Good interpersonal and communication skills
