We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Gym Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure an excellent experience for all members. The ideal candidate is passionate about fitness, has strong leadership skills, and is committed to maintaining high service standards.
What you'll be doing
Manage daily gym operations, including opening and closing procedures, equipment maintenance and facility cleanliness standards
Managing and supervising gym staff, including fitness instructors, personal trainers and administrative personnel
Developing and implementing fitness programmes, class schedules and member engagement initiatives to maximise facility usage and member satisfaction
Recruiting, training and mentoring team members to ensure exceptional customer service and professional standards
Managing membership accounts, processing registrations and handling member inquiries and complaints professionally
Monitoring and maintaining gym equipment, arranging repairs and replacements as necessary
Implementing health and safety protocols and ensuring compliance with local regulations
Tracking financial performance, managing budgets and identifying opportunities to increase revenue
Creating and executing marketing strategies to attract new members and promote gym facilities and services
Building strong relationships with members and fostering a positive community atmosphere
Reporting on performance metrics and providing regular updates to senior management
What we're looking for
Proven experience in gym or fitness facility management
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively
Excellent customer service orientation with a proven ability to build member loyalty and satisfaction
Knowledge of fitness industry trends, equipment and best practices
Proficiency in gym management software and Microsoft Office applications
Sound understanding of health and safety regulations in a fitness environment
Ability to work flexibly, including early mornings, evenings and weekends as required
Fluency in English; additional language skills (particularly Indonesian) are advantageous
