Junior Project and Specification Engineer

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate or Junior Engineer to join our Technical and Quality team at our Milperra, Sydney NSW facility. This role offers excellent exposure to engineering projects, product development, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical systems within a leading manufacturing environment.

Duties of the role include the following:

·       Assist with engineering projects from concept through to implementation.

·       Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation.

·       Provide technical design and drafting support for product development projects.

·       Assist in identifying and implementing process and technology improvements.

·       Analyse technical problems and contribute to the development of practical solutions.

·       Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the specifications system.

·       Assist with technical documentation, engineering drawings, and system updates.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Technical Services.

Desired work experience and qualifications:

·       Degree qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, Process, or related Engineering discipline.

·       Recent graduate or engineer with up to 2 years' relevant industry experience.

·       Exposure to AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.

·       Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; SharePoint experience is advantageous.

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Demonstrated willingness to learn and contribute in a team environment.

·       Positive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
