Job Description:
Enter, verify, and track imaging orders and diagnostic referrals in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system.
Coordinate patient diagnostic appointments, upload outside films or studies, and ensure records are complete before physician appointments.
Serve as the main contact point between patients, clinical providers, outside agencies, and internal radiology teams.
Handle remote scheduling, chart tracking, or telehealth support on remote days, and manage on-site staff coordination, patient intake, or urgent escalations during in-office days.
Maintain logs, manage authorization faxes/paperwork, and assist with department accreditation and safety protocols.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or a closely related field.
Min. 2 years experience in Hybrid Imaging Dept.
Completion of a clinical residency program in diagnostic imaging physics.
Professional board certification (such as from the American Board of Radiology or local equivalent).
Deep technical knowledge of imaging physics, strong problem-solving abilities, and clear communication skills to bridge engineering and patient care.
Strong assessment and critical thinking.
Ability to prioritize and manage workload.
