Marketing Generalist

We are looking for an experienced and well-rounded Marketing Generalist to support the execution of marketing initiatives across multiple channels. The ideal candidate has 4–5+ years of hands-on marketing experience and is comfortable managing email campaigns, social media, graphic design, content repurposing, event marketing, and day-to-day marketing projects.This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, creative, detail-oriented, and able to take projects from concept to completion with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will also be comfortable using AI tools to improve content creation, research, organization, and overall marketing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute email marketing campaigns using ActiveCampaign, including:

1. Creating and formatting email campaigns
2. Building and maintaining automations
3. Managing contact lists, tags, and segments
4. Monitoring campaign performance and identifying opportunities for improvement

• Create and modify marketing materials using Canva, including:

1. Social media graphics
2. Email graphics
3. Flyers
4. Promotional materials
5. Other branded marketing assets
6. Follow established brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all marketing materials.
7. Manage and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
8. Develop and maintain a consistent social media publishing calendar.
9. Write, edit, and refine captions and adapt content appropriately for each platform.

• Repurpose long-form content such as videos, presentations, and other marketing materials into:

1. Short-form videos
2. Social media posts
3. Email campaigns
4. Promotional content
5. Other marketing assets

• Perform basic video editing and assist with the creation of short-form video content.
• Support the planning and execution of educational luncheons, classes, client events, and community events.
• Create event promotional campaigns, invitations, follow-up communications, and supporting marketing materials.
• Track event RSVPs and assist with event-related communications and coordination.
• Manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and priorities.
• Maintain and update marketing calendars, project trackers, and campaign schedules.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and ensure timely completion with minimal supervision.
• Use AI tools to support content creation, research, brainstorming, organization, and marketing efficiency.
• Maintain and update website content using WordPress.
• Create and manage forms and related marketing workflows using Typeform.
• Collaborate with internal team members and stakeholders to ensure marketing initiatives are aligned with business objectives.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 4–5+ years of hands-on marketing experience in a generalist, coordinator, specialist, or similar marketing role.
• Proven hands-on experience with ActiveCampaign, including email campaigns, automations, lists, tags, and campaign reporting.
• Experience managing social media content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Proficiency in Canva and experience creating marketing materials within established brand guidelines.
• Experience with content creation and content repurposing across multiple marketing channels.
• Basic video editing experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting or coordinating marketing events.
• Experience using WordPress.
• Experience using Typeform.
• Comfortable using AI tools to improve marketing workflows and productivity.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in branding and messaging.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to take ownership of projects from start to finish.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms.
• Experience developing content calendars and multi-channel campaigns.
• Experience with basic video editing tools.
• Strong copywriting and editing skills.
• Experience working with professional services, B2B, education, real estate, or community-focused organizations.
• Ability to analyze campaign and social media performance and use insights to improve future marketing efforts.
